From working at a hospital as a clinical pharmacist during the pandemic, to having my first child, the last 18 months have been quite memorable! Giving birth to a baby in the middle of the pandemic has had its challenges. While it was hard not to have close family and friends around (for everyone’s safety), I feel like it gave us space and time to really figure out how to navigate as a family of three. I felt grateful to be one of the first groups of Iowans eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine to not only protect myself and family but fellow hospital workers and patients.
